Ambrose Bierce was famously known as a #Satirist of his time. His irreverence was legend and among others he worked as a syndicated columnist for William Randolph Hearst, who was a very powerful newspaper man in the early to mid 1900’s.The story goes, that every time Bierce would quit Hearst’s newspaper enterprises, (which were numerous), Hearst would double his salary.
